ABOUT CAREER SERVICES

Mission Statement

Seeks to assist students and alumni with choosing their major or career interests, gaining related work experiences, as well as providing guidance in their full time professional job search via self assessments, career and experiential education, and personal and professional development.

Student Learning Outcomes:

AASU students and alumni will be provided with numerous educational opportunities to support their development of career goals and job search competencies. To meet this objective, the career center has developed learning outcomes in alignment with the delivery of its workshops and programs and career advisement appointments. This supports the OCS effort to provide the most effective and efficient services rendered to students and alumni while maintaining quality, pertinent services via a systematic evaluation and quality assurance / improvement process.
  1. After participation in a Mock Interview workshop, students/alumni will state that the experience better prepared them for "real employment."

  2. Students who participate in the career planning and decision making classroom presentations will be able to 1) self-identify where they are in the career development process and 2) describe the next steps they need to take to move forward in the career decision making process.
